I want to watch Night at the Museum tonight on Sky and was just wondering, for those who have seen it, how good it is and if it is really childish. i have seen the trailer a few times and it looked ok, plus i like ben stiller so i was just wondering if it is worth the watch.

Its alright, not as good as I was expecting. Ricky Gervais has a nice very small role in it. Average movie, worth a watch if you got time to kill.

Its good.

I really liked it, despite Ricky Gervais' playing himself, again, Dick Van Dyke has a larger role which completely counters Rickys potentially movie spoiling role.

Robin Williams, Steve Coogan and Owen Wilson are also great, as is Ben Stiller obv.

I could have also done without Ricky but as said his role is small though badly acted and not at all funny. The rest of the movie which is practically all of it is very good.

Both films are based on children's books. Jumanji came out first as a book, then the book of Night At The Museum, then the film of Jumanji. Although the films are quite similar it would be a bit unfair to accuse Milan Trenc (Night At The Museum) of ripping off Chris Van Allsburg (Jumanji) as they are both writers and illustrators with their own style and from different backgrounRAB (Trenc is from Croatia, Van Allsburg is American).
