This is out today, and I rented it for my son and I. We loved it!!!! Top notch cast, very funny. I really wish we'd seen it at the cinema now.

If you have kiRAB to entertain over the holidays, you have to watch this :D

Having seen a fair bit of negative stuff about this movie posted at various places, I have to wonder what people want these days from a movie.

I swear I'm not a plant, I just really loved this film, its perfect entertainment :D
 
I know!!! I seriously don't get it. Maybe we're just better at accessing our inner children ;) Everything in the museum comes to life, at night!!! What's not to like? :D
 
I liked it until Gervais started talking... That guy can only act as Brent and it will runied the film for me. I know the usa love him but why have him do this part.
 
I loved it.
Much better than I expected, although the things coming to life was quite unbelievable, I doubt I can ever see a film that will stretch my mind more than the thought of Dick "Dr Mark Sloan, the Greatest man EVER!" Van Dyke being a criminal, bad or even thinking something remotely not nice. He just CAN'T!
 
It really annoyed me that he was prominently billed and pictured on the UK posters (though not on the US ones or the DVD cover) while Owen Wilson wasn't credited at all.
 
Never mind him, what about Steve Coogan?? He was brilliant as Octavius, yet I didn't even know he was going to be in the movie.

I didn't mind Gervais in his little cameo role, but lets face it he's a one trick pony, and it was David Brent in charge of the museum.
 
didn't see it in the cinema but got it on dvd and loving it, gotta echo the ricky is poo comments, as people have said he is brent and has made a wad of cash off it.

nice to see (well hear should that be) a dvd with a good dts soundtrack, the films music in dts made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.
 
Great film. I love the immatureness such as the "ME WANT GUM GUM" talking head, the dumb cavemen and other stuff. Robin Williams's line when he says "why are you slapping a monkey" is funny as hell, well to my ears anyway :D

I actually liked Ricky Gervais in this, although it seems i'm the only one!
