Nickleback

Eeeesch, Linkin' Park. Rehab, I like. I discovered them in high school, and now, all of a sudden their blowin' up with "Sittin' at Bar", which isn't their best at all. I'm not surprised though. Mainstream media will suck the life out of anything.

Surprising Im not a huge Fu Manchu fan. But your right with that John guy. And now that his new albums out, the thread ****sucking grows worse. I really can't elp it. Surely you know the feeling.

/not sarcasm :p:

I do not need to repeat what I have already written. You have contradicted yourself often enough. Ok so you now class it as the 'early grunge' sound. But cmon lets face it Mudhoney werent exactly a proper grunge band anyway.
In relation the banning comment- you (& I) know you wanted to! & perhaps wouldve if I hadnt said anything..
Fair enough I just found it rather intriguing that all the way through the discussion up to that point you had been posting replies within a minute and then all of a sudden when I had caught you out you went quiet. In my opinion you must just be too proud to admit to your own contradictions which are(or were incase you edited again) there for all to see.
Also with the comment on the other post I was simply replying to the finger up sign which he had posted.
If you want rid of me get rid of me now ,please dont go snooping around butting in when Im talking to other people. Ok i guess it may have been a bit OTT with the comment but cmon a 15 year old calling me a lame kid?
And the Pm was sent in good humour but obviously you dont concurr?
By the way did you get the original Pm i sent you just after I had gotten back?

Nickelback pwns.
The latest album is definately subpar compared to the rest.
And the one before that isn't as good as it's forerunners either.

Silver Side Up was a great album,
and The State had some good songs on it.

Kroeger has a very distinctive voice as well. I think most of the Nickelback bashing comes from slightly homosexual men who don't want to seem wimpy when other slightly homosexual men make negative comments. I should go into some Bright Eyes thread and constantly post every other reply about how much I hate emo kiRAB.

You just answered your own question.... It isnt obviously Eddie Vedder's fault. Its just because you don't like him. :bonkhead:

I'll never understand why this band

are lumped in with the grunge thing. You may as well put Janes bloody Addiction in there as well if you're gonna put this lot in.

Interesting I have two of their albums 'Sweet Oblivion' & 'Dust' but they dont really do anything for me. IMO Alice & Chains (who Ive recentley come to appreciate more after seeing & buying the Mtv Unplugged concert & then hearing Jar Of Flies- some of the most beautiful tunes Ive ever heard in my life) & Pearl Jam were miles better than Nirvana,Stone Temples or The Trees just in terms of musical ability let alone the songwriting. Also I think the game with the Stone Temples is just because the twat that used to front them got in with the overrated has beens in Velvet Revolver that people have backtracked and found them out as I havent really read that they were that big during the grunge scene. Also I know this wont go down popular but dont give a ****- I think that if Kurt Cobain was still alive Nirvana wouldnt be as 'legendary' as they are thought to be today. I think obviously continung the trend of frontmen dying such as The Doors Jim Morrisson & others added to the hype surrounding Nirvana (not to say that they wouldnt have been popular still just that it has been massively overblown due to his death).
Also I have a bone to pick with all of you here for not mentioning Soundgarden! Chris Cornell was by far the best vocalist on the grunge scene and IMO the best vocalist (not to my taste in particular) but just in terms of sheer power and range especially. Soundgarden were the first grunge band to be signed to a major label but Nirvana & co were the ones who popularized it and paved the way for Soundgarden into the mainstream but it aint about whats in mainstream uno they were always a great band before and I still like Chris Cornells solo stuff.
But I do appreciate your opinion in that you have obviously sat down and listened to all the main grunge banRAB and then heard a smaller profile one and made your own decision and I respect that.
