Nickelodeon vs. Disney Channel vs. Cartoon Network

Which channel do you prefer out of Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, and Cartoon Network? I prefer Cartoon Network because Cartoon Network has more shows I like.

SHOWS I LIKE ON....

*Total Drama Island - awesome writing
*Total Drama Action - awesome writing
*Total Drama World Tour - awesome writing
*Totally Spies! - great comedy and animation
*The Garfield Show - a lot of fun moments
*The Marvelous Misadventures Of Flapjack - werid, but cool though
*Codename: Kids Next Door - funny show

*Ben 10: Ultimate Alien - awesome action
*Generator Rex - awesome action

*Batman: The Brave and The Bold - great action show, fun to watch

Disney Channel:

*Good Luck Charlie - real funny show with awesome writing
*Sonny With A Chance (Season 2 Only) - Season 1 was, meh, Season 2 seemed to improve my likings of the show.
*The Suite Life On Deck - Meh, I watch it ocassionaly when nothing good is on. London is pretty funny though.
*Wizards of Waverly Place - Meh, I watch it ocassionaly when nothing good is on. Alex is pretty funny though.

Nickelodeon:

*iCarly - some funny moments
*Drake & Josh - really fun to watch
*Zoey 101 - really fun to watch
*Victorious - some funny moments
*Big Time Rush - a really fun show to watch

I also prefer watching Cartoon Network over Nick and Disney right now. There are more shows that I enjoy airing on Cartoon Network than both Nick and Disney combined. I seem to only watch Nick for iCarly and Penguins of Madagascar for their humor and Phineas and Ferb on Disney channel for its creativity. With Cartoon Network, there's Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Ben 10 Alien Force/Ultimate Alien, Adventure Time and Generator Rex. There's a better balance of action and comedy series for me on Cartoon Network.

There's a similar thread in the Nickelodeon forum, so I'll just copy and paste my response here:

Aside from the odd Spongebob and Penguins shorts and the occasional episode of Glenn Martin, DDS on Nick @ Nite, I don't really watch anything on Nick. I currently watch nothing on Disney/DXD; as with Nick, I can't go near the tweencoms, and while I like the concept behind Phineas and Ferb, I don't agree with everything they do in the execution, so it's never been able to pull me in as a regular viewer. I don't watch everything on Cartoon Network either, but there are some shows I do try to catch fairly regularly: the now defunct Chowder, Flapjack, Johnny Test, Super Hero Squad and Adventure Time, which I don't think is the greatest show ever (I actually think it's a tad overrated), but it has some fun and interesting concepts, and it's decent enough.

So for me, Toon wins by default.

Ditto:

Cartoon Network - Because for all of their crazy decisions they still offer up some pretty great programming. They have Adventure Time, Ben 10, Batman TBaTB, Stoked, 6teen (which Nick gave up), Total Drama Series, Johnny Test, etc. Even their live-action isn't all that bad. Like Brain Rush and Destroy Build Destroy.

Nick is ok but the only thing worth watching is The Troop and Big Time Rush. iCarly is far too raunchy for my kids programming taste and that new game show is boring. Oh and please don't get me started on Fanboy & Chum Chum. Most of the time it's Spongebob followed by iCarly followed by Spongebob followed by iCarly followed by Penguins of Madagascar followed by Spongebob followd by iCarly followed by Spongebob.

A little added about Disney:

Disney - I can't say I've enjoyed Disney a lot lately. Wizards is cool and Good Luck Charlie is pretty good so far. Other than that, meh. Disney XD on the other hand is one of my favorite channels. Especially when it first premiered with stuff like The Famous Jett Jackson and Even Stevens.

Of those three, I'd say that my tv is definitely on Cartoon Network more often than any of the others. The other two really don't have close to as much new or original animated shows as CN does, and the ones that they do have just don't seem to keep my eyes on the tv set.

Disney is definately my last choice as Phineas and Ferb is the only show that I like that they play. I like Nick for Mighty B and Fanboy and Chum Chum. I like CN for Chowder, Adventure Time, and Flapjack (but I don't keep up with them) and reruns of Ed Edd n Eddy and KND.

Let's see here.

Disney Channel/XD: Rarely watch, only times I usually do will be for Suite Life, Zeke & Luther, or at times, I'm in the Band. Overall, I see no problems with their networks.

Nickelodeon: These guys have their stuff together right now. They're looking rather similar to 90's Nickelodeon, which when you look at it, it's hard to deny that. Watch it quite often, pretty much for iCarly, Victorious, Penguins of Madagascar, BrainSurge, The Troop, Big Time Rush, FOP, Spongebob (at times), Drake & Josh (when reruns air), and I think House of Anubis will probably be pretty good.

Cartoon Network: These guys are pretty much walking barefoot onto an ice rink. They'll have good moments, then they'll end up with a bad moment.
They REALLY need to realize one simple thing: live action on their channel is not working. Two hour-long dramas? 6-14 year old boys are supposed to be interested in those? I highly doubt it. Deathslotting shows is also not wise. Give them at least half a chance. They ended up doing that with The Garfield Show, and look where it got them. It gets pretty good ratings now. Same could have happened to Hero: 108.
Currently only watch Adventure Time, 6teen, TDI, Ed Edd n Eddy, Codename KND, and Generator Rex.

A off-topic sidenote, but in the Nick vs CN vs Disney, I wonder if they had once taught of a videogame crossover Nick vs CN vs Disney in a concept similar to Marvel vs Capcom, Mario Super Kart, Super Robot Taisen and Jump Superstars? Just imagine some interesting possibilities.

Do I have to choose? I don't like 90 percent of the programming that now regularly exists on each network. Although I do love Boomerang!

i hate the live action shows on CN just as much as everyone else here.
but look at how they pushed for us to "embrace" live action...

comedy and reality shows.

basically 2 "genres" that basically suck if not properly approached.
if your gonna try to persuade me to like something, then you better come
hard.

that show unnatural history (UH), is an actual scripted show. CN shouldve
began like this in the first place.

the show looks "okay". but what "REALLY" suprised me, whas the use of actual guns in the show.
seriously. and no. no bb guns or paintball
rifles. actual guns. on CN.

Here is my new list of the order I like these channels:

Cartoon Network:

*6teen - great animation and writing
*Total Drama Island - awesome writing
*Total Drama World Tour - awesome writing
*What's New Scooby-Doo? - I enjoy how well this show is, even if it's not the best.

*Codename: Kids Next Door - funny show
*Chowder - great animation and some funny moments
*Ben 10: Ultimate Alien - awesome action
*Generator Rex - awesome action

*Tom and Jerry - who doesn't love this classic?
*Adventure Time - really great writing

*Dexter's Laboratory - I love the comedy this show has to offer.
*Regular Show - I enjoy this show a lot.
*Sym-Bionic Titan - one of the best shows ever
*Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated - I enjoy how well written this show is.
*MAD - Great humor.

*Fish Hooks - I enjoy some moments of this show.
*Shake It Up - I am more for the comedy part, the rest of the show bores me.
*The Suite Life of Zack & Cody - I enjoy this show. I used to watch it all the time when I was younger.
*Movies - I enjoy quite a bit of movies on Disney Channel, which I am glad Disney Channel shows movies often.

Nickelodeon:

*iCarly - some funny moments
*Victorious - some funny moments
*Big Time Rush - a really fun show to watch
*Rugrats - I enjoy this show a lot, great writing.
*All Grown Up - Same as Rugrats
*Jimmy Neutron - AMAZING! Genius show.

I only included shows these channel currently have somewhere in their schedule.

For me it's more of a Nick vs. Cartoon Network, because that's what I've been raised with. I didn't get into Disney Channel until their That's so Raven/Proud Family years. I miss Toon Disney and their classics very much, but the only two networks that have remained somewhat consistent in my interests are Nick/Nicktoons and Cartoon Network/Boomerang. As far as lately, I'm going to have to give it to Cartoon Network. Sure, they've had their very low points, they're pretty back and forth as a channel as in they're not sure exactly what they want to be. But they offer the most variety of animated programs and whenever I can I watch their channel at least once a day. Nickelodeon has swayed in my interest. The only shows I like on Nick currently are iCarly (seasons 1-3) Spongebob (seasons 1-3) some Big Time Rush and some T.U.F.F. Puppy. Victorious is a bore to me and no other show airs too much to grab my attention. Nicktoons is a little more entertaining with DBZKai and Avatar, but as of right now, I'll have to give it to CN.

BUT if Hub was an option they'd be either 2nd or 3rd choice. For a new network I watch them a lot more often than Disney.

I prefer Cartoon Network over Nick & Disney for sure. I only watch Nick for Spongebob nowadays & there's nothing good on Disney Channel right now(at least in my opinion).
