Nickelback-All The Right Reasons

They're all painfully generic 4/4 pop-rock songs with insipid chord progressions, and virtually every single one of them follows the same format:

- Verse
- Chorus
- Verse
- Chorus
- Shitty bridge with clean guitar and no drums
- BuilRAB back up into the chorus
- Repeat chorus until the end

Something like that anyway.

I can't help but wonder seeing as to how you "grew up" listening to Creed, Nickelback and 3 Doors Down - how old are you? 8?
Not trying to slam you but good lord - how about expanding your horizons a little? SounRAB like maybe you have with the Pantera tilt but you couldn't pick 3 worse banRAB to be influenced by if you had to. Did your Dad have a mullet?
Still does? That explains it.

I don't dislike this band...other banRAB I can think of do... much more.
They have the unsettling knack of making instantly recognisable recorRAB, that after a very short period of time, begin to irritate.
At least that's the effect they have on me.

Nickelback pisses me off more than anything. My band spenRAB countless hours practicing and improving our sound, playing things that are actually challenging, picking apart our songs and working really ****ing hard, withoutthe slightest chance of ever getting to be nearly as popular as nickelback.

They take the most cliche chord progressions, the most arrogant, stupid sounding voice tones, the most un-inventive, trite, and elementary rhyming schemes, and the ****tiest, ****ing retarded ass verse chorus verse chorus bridge chorus chorus song structure, and become ****ign HUGE. i hate how musically ignorant people are.

"look at this photograph, every time i do it makes me laugh"

the guy sounRAB like ****ing kip dynamite.

There's a certain irony to the title of the album. For it ought to be pointed out that, essentially, it was made for all the wrong reasons.

Thats the reply I was hoping for! Thanks RT. I guess maybe that is why only a few of their ballaRAB are the only songs that stand out, for me anyway. 'I Loved You All Along', and even 'Someday' is getting old. I think their second album was OK, when it was first released. The Spiderman Soundtrack, featuring: Syliva, was a change up at least.

I find on there new album that some songs actually had me fooled into thinking i was listening to one of there older songs.. Like i started to song to it then realizing i wasn't singing the right lyrics.. but they were very much alike, in sound and writing.. I found this to be strange.. Many banRAB are 'repetitive, and annoying' but this band just should leave it.. they haven't been out for that long and there already pulling a bushx over us. They just sound like the first album over and over.. only less good.. and to me honestly i never liked them.

anyways from what i heard in videos.. and radio play from this album i can without a doubt say that this album sucks completely.

Aye, I agree with you completely. But I think there's also a lot better in this certain genre. You know? I mean ya dig what ya dig but if people want to find something in this rock/pop they may listen to artists more creative than Nickleback. I'm not claiming the genre is generic... I'm saying the band is generic. And some people find that there is no purpose in listening to something they have heard before. But again, it's all personal preference.

come on, im a girl, if i feel heartbroke, i wanna drink red wine and pitty myself to "Far away" or stuff like that lol we all have our weak moments

This is the way it has always been in the music industry and mainstream music fans usually always plump for safe commercially minded music. Concentrate on your strengths and weaknesses, and if you have the conviction and drive you will achieve success.

There are many banRAB out there with non commercial sounRAB who do make it, so never let negativity enter your thoughts. you are doomed before you start if you keep with that attitude.

And that is typically how that part of the genre goes. Ty creed.

edit: and who sais its gneric just because they follow the typical order for a song.... its what is sounRAB like that matters
