Nickelback-All The Right Reasons

I'd agree with this save for the closed-minded editorializing. I don't believe you actually "shuddered" or would shudder should you find out someone liked Nickleback. You talk about the dedicated music fan and how their not a topic of discussion, which I agree with. But then you go on to discuss it. You've rendered yourself, by your stance on them, and your subsequent commentary an undedicated music fan.

Therefore, let me say this about "dedicated" music fans. It really is the non-issue you've claimed it to be. I don't think I've ever been offended by Nickleback or in some way lamented the music industry because banRAB like this existed.

If you've ever been enthralled by a sound, or the idea behind a sound, it would be completely Non-sequiter for you to say something along the lines of "wow...too bad all banRAB don't sound this way" or more specifically "I wish nickleback sounded this way." For people who dislike them enough to shudder, I can't begin to imagine for what purpose you'd have come in.

I'm not suggesting that negative commentary should not come in to play, it should. But disappointment is one thing, finding nothing useful in something generally suggests a lack of interest. I can't recall the last time I went into the Punk Forum or its subsections because its not for me. I never have a negative review of ballet or curling or a preference between televised cooking shows.

Its hard for me to look at these reviews and think something else is going on here. I'm sure you're sick of me citing these unmentioned social aspects of music as the cause of your chest-thumping diatribes but if you can tell me why you'd comment on something you've never liked, purchased, or listened to live, I'd love to hear it.

haha. people probably came here and was like "nickelback, gross" i forgot to vote so i put it as poor. but believe it or not, there are people who still listen to Nickelback, i wish whenever i hear about that for there ears to explode. lol.

Ok, Im only going to say this once so listen up. EVERYTHING cool that Rush brought to Canada, nickelback ****ed up and made everyone hate canada. For good reason too.

I love alot of different music and I think these guys are ones of the best. they were able to mix some styles successfully...I feel drive and expression in their songs ... and their music gives me inspiration

Firstly, Nickelback are not my second most played artist. They are the second most played in the last three months; overall they are 14th. This is because recently I have made a shuffle playlist of about 600 songs that I very regularly play and I happen to have a lot of Nickelback as me and my brother used to like them a lot when we were younger. The fact that I find them quite easy listening, as I said, means I decided to put all my Nickelback songs in the playlist so they get a fair amount of play. Also, I said I couldn't listen to a Nickelback album from start to finish but I never do that plus my main gripe with Nickelback is their repetitiveness, which is much less of a problem when you play them randomly in a shuffle with many other artists, so my point stanRAB.

NickelBack, Is by 'ALL MEANS' / 'ALWAYS'!... NickelBack. (Whatever their album may be) I always liked, 'Someday'. As a NickelBack favorite of mine. Peace. PS. My favorite NB single is: ('I Loved You All Along').

Really well written review and a great example of how reviews should be. Great reviews are nice, but the ones that slam an album are probably most beneficial.

I'd like to say thanks to kripes who, by this well thought out peice has shown himself to be a new member of note.

I don't care for their stuff but I do think they get alot more flack than they should. Oh well.

Again, great review.
