Is it true that nice people finish last. Should I turn into a girl that is willing to step on someones neck to get what I want? My ex of over 3 years left to be with another girl who pursued him while me and him were together. She befriended me and used backstabber tactics. Right after she became her gf she put up a quote on facebook "The first step to happiness is deciding what you want, the second step is doing whatever it takes to get it and the last step is enjoying every minute of it". And it made me wonder, should I adopt her kind of attitude in life. She acts this way and got my boyfriend and shes happy and I lost. Should I put aside my morals sometimes to be happy or if I stay the way I am will I continue to get screwed over?
