The issue turns out it was with Versus in the US as the have an exclusive window for their game and no other games can be broadcasted at that time. Apparently Versus was kind enough to let them start airing the game at 9est while their game was still on.

On Bell for me the audio would cut out quite a bit. Makes you think they are swearing or something.

Dallas - Colorado has been perfect so far.

Can any explain why I pay for the Centre Ice Package, and I can't watch the Pens/Leafs game in Southern Ontario because I don't pay for the Leafs Package? The game is also in Pittsburgh tonight, so I don't see why they would black it out to this region.

False. If games are not locally broadcast or available on PPV, the individual teams have the right to lift Center Ice blackouts. Many Canadian teams have been doing this for years. In fact, Ken King (president of the Flames), specifically stated a couple of days ago that any Flames game not available thru local broadcast or PPV would be made available to local fans thru Center Ice.

EVu did not create a special PPV package. The individual teams create their own PPV packages and sell those packages to various distributors.

Does anybody know WHEN Bev will add the NHLCI and 4? HD channels to their map?

I need to manually tune a bank of commercial receivers and I hope they don't wait until the last minute.

Is there a game schedule available from Bev or on the 'Net somewhere?

TIA

I also noticed that it isn't on the CI guide...however I've taken the matter into my own hands and will watch it in 3D instead :)

Us peasants in Atlantic Canada are in the Habs & Sens territory....even though the Bruins are closer to my house...as the crow flies...

...Personally, I have been to several games in Boston, one in Montreal...zero in Ottawa

Tonights Sens game was broadcast in HD out of Ottawa. I'm glad that I have rabbit ears, as BEV didn't give us the game in HD. :confused:What is that all about? It sure can't be broadcast rights. I think it's more like laziness at BEV headquarters. The Senators and the CBC need to complain to BEV

There were only 5 in HD last night. Edmonton/Minnesota was SD widescreen on TSN. Boston/Anaheim shouldn't count either. There were so many dropouts (both video and audio) in the first 10 min of the game that I watched the SD version. It was much like the Leafs/Hurricanes game the night before.

When I got fed up with local blackouts, I changed my address to a friend in another region. I had to change the credit card that I was billing to as well. I did this over a year ago and have had no problems. I am now blacked out in the new region but I get to see the local games, even the ones in HD which are carried by sportsnet in SD locally or by PPV.;)

CI uploaded on my guide 426-435.....but the hd channels are no where to be found, will it be there before the season starts?

pretty easy...centre ice is an OUT OF MARKET package.

You are in the Leafs region, you want to see the game, you need to watch LEafs tv.

The leafs moved 20 of their games to their channel in order to increase subscriptions.

CBC owns national rights to all Canadian teams on Saturday night broadcasts,so if you were looking for it on centre ice, they won't be there.

Yes - Moncton, and all of Atlantic Canada are considered to be part of the home markets for BOTH the Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators.

For SOME games against Montreal, the Centre Ice channel MAY be blacked out for Atlantic Canadian fans, forcing you to watch it in french on RDS.

There's also one game between the Leafs and Senators (Thursday, April 3rd) that the Senators are offering via Pay Per View. As you live in the Sens 'local' region, the Centre Ice channel will be blacked out for you for this game - your only option is to purchase the Sens broadcast.

No video cutouts though, eh?

I missed one Detroit shootout attempt completely due to video dropout, but periods 1-3 were fine.

Are you guys getting Stars-Avs in HD?

More than 1000 kms from Edmonton and more than 1300 from Calgary here in Manitoba. BOTH are blacked out on Centre Ice. Particularly frustrating when Sportsnet West can only carry one of their (Edm/Cgy) games for 'local' coverage, and the other is playing god's team. Arbitrarily slicing up our country like this is an outrage. If you're out of range of an OTA broadcast, you should also be considered out of their viewing area, IMO.

By now we should all realize that AEV is trying her best to help, but does make mistakes now and then.
