NHL Centre Ice - 2009-2010

I'm not sure if anyone is seeing the new Centre Ice HD channels yet, but I still would believe that they should be up for tomorrow. The guide says for Chicago/Detroit tomorrow "available in HD on NHLH5".

Bell or the NHL must have got some new rights to show games on Centre Ice. We all know that there have been a few MSGHD games now that their dispute is settled, although they are rare, but last night the Dallas/Chicago game was available in HD from Comcast Sportsnet Chicago on Centre Ice. This if the first time I've ever seen one of their game on.

The Globe and Mail carried an article at the weekend relating to issues of having New York area games on Centre Ice. I can't remember all the details off the top of my head but it sounded like there would be either no or very limited New York area team games in Centre Ice until the dispute was settled.

So according to some uplink reports, and the "whats on" guide on Bell's website, it looks like we will be getting two more Centre Ice HD channels, on 738 and 739, weird position if you ask me, but it looks like a new HD channel lineup is on it's way too in the 1000's.

No, Bell had the Fox Sports Pittsburgh HD feed. No Centre Ice provider in North America will have an MSG HD feed for any game unless it's picked up by a third party, like Versus, due to a dispute with the NHL.

Tomorrow is going to be a huge day for the Flyers/Rangers as the winner is guaranteed a playoff spot and the game looks like it won't be offered in HD by Bell even though it is show on three HD channels in the States. Very sad.

I think those are repeats of what is already there, as Bell is trying to move all HD into the 1000's. Unless you see 6 of them, then they aren't on yet. They new ones should be clearly marked as NHLH5 and NHLH6

i just had my wife check

1454 - NHL HD 5

isnt in the program guide as of 3 pm chicago time.

Hopefully by puck drop.

Shaw has the game on HD but it is the NESN SD feed.

Gamecenter Live has the HD feed for the FS-Carolina but it is shot in SD

On Bell's website under what's on, it shows channel 870 NHL HD with the description Press Info. The description is - To see more NHL Centre Ice HD games go to channels 1454 and 1455. So they are coming, hopefully today.

Kootenayguy9,

the previous rangers/philly game yesterday wasn't on CI HD either, which sucked.
the MSG feeds should be available now, so there isnt really any reason to not show it. the CSN feed also was showing it in HD.

I was able to actually watch it in HD, because RDS was showing it. I guess for me HD in a language I don't understand is better than SD that I do understand :)

not sure if tomorrow's will be on RDS too.

Anyone get NHL Gamecenter Live to work with Vista OS? When I connect to the gamecenter live it tells me I have to download Adobe Flash Player 10, but Vista won't allow me install it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Last day of the year for hockey. Two huge games. Both UNAVAILABLE on Bell HD but I can watch both of these games on NHL CentreIce Live on my computer in HD.

Both the Red Wings Vs Blackhawks and Rangers/Flyers game should be shown instead of the Pens/Isles game for example which means absolutely nothing in the standings.

While I do agree with you guys...and was saying the same basic things...I think I understand what they were doing.

Bell was giving us less HD Hockey for the final week as they were giving everyone a free week of MLB Extra Innings...and their six HD feeds.

Combined with the Masters in 3D...I think it was a bandwidth issue...and considering that Centre Ice was done that day and new people may purchase the MLB package...they chose the route that may give them the most money in the longrun...and I can't say I blame them.

Not to say I was happy with having to watch SD...but I understand the decision.
