NHL Center Ice 2008-09 and Bell "TVonline" discussion

Shaw is having the same problems

Bell doesn't have these problems for NHL Center Ice SD games ever.;)...I have had it since 2001 without any problems. Bell ALWAYS does a great job with NHL CI. MLB Extra innings is another story.

Its my unit I know that for sure. When I go to ch. 425(NHL Mutil-Vu up to 6 games on screen) the games show up in the small windows.

Use your new cards
.

I don't want to put my new smart cards(first batch) in until I get my 2nd batch.(i ordered 1 more set of cards for my 9200 Dual Tuner, 5900 PVR, & 3100 single)

Bell doesn't carry CBC Ottawa, so the only way to get the game is to put it on Centre Ice.

Bell does carry it, its on channel 208. Bell was actually the first major national carrier to get it.

All I meant to say is that at least it resolves to a webpage now. Better than better where it was a page not found.

I do not understand why TSN has hockey in 4:3 format when cfl is 16:9 and sn hockey hd is 16:9

I would have expected more from them

Snatcher, I'm pretty sure it is 4 in a row. What's kinda nice about that though is that after those 4 months, it's like all the other months are free. (because you've already paid)

Also, in regards to the BellTV online feed: I checked a few of Friday nights games after downloading the special player I needed and got a "technical difficulties" message. Hopefully this problem will be resolved by next week. The NHL Online concept should be a really neat value adding feature if it works.

Is the price to order CI today (Oct. 18) $199 or $219? one spot on Bell website says one and another when filling out online order form. When you go to order with your receiver, it also says $199.

There are only so many HD trucks to go around. They have one in Toronto for CFL and another at McGill for tomorrow's CFL game.

On the other hand, it's only exhibition hockey so they might not want to put out the added expense of HD, especially tonight when they'd have to rent a 3rd truck.

Yes, preseason games will be available. Check NHL7 in the guide. I checked on my 9242 and it does show the Rangers/Senators game Saturday night.

You should install the new smart cards right now.

Failure to do so will result in you loosing certain channels over the comming days.

Replacing Cards on seperate days is not a problem.

It looks like Bell's EPG is now changed. Shows Montreal @ Toronto this Sat. night on CBCHD (802). The funny thing is that about a month ago there was a listing for Leafs TV that showed this game for 3:00 on Sat. afternoon (unheard of for the Leafs). If that listing had been correct then the evening game would have been Ottawa's on the full network. Did the league/CBC or some other body make a change at the last minute? It seems like a strange mistake on Bell's part alone. There must have been some basis for listing at some point.

NHL TV Online worked for me this evening. At first I couldn't connect to the website until about a half hour into the first games.

so did you guys with the CI package recieve your new smartcards like the people with the NFL package have?

None of TSN's 3 preseason games have been in HD thus far; so it is doubtful the last two will be.

ALL of the 115 NHL games on TSN and TSN2 this season will be in HD. 100%

I ordered Centre Ice yesterday by phone and I think the voice said $219.00. The entire order was completed without my saying a word and the channels appeared within about 15 minutes. Be careful what you're doing and listen carefully because once you press 1 on the phone you have confirmed your order and you can't back out. I'm not annoyed about that but it is the first time I ever ordered anything on the phone without actually talking to anyone.
