NHL Center Ice 2008-09 and Bell "TVonline" discussion

All Centre Ice channels worked fine for me tonight, so I don't know what you're issue was. My only issues were that the San Jose/Anaheim HD feed was having technical difficulties and didn't come on until the 2nd period and the terrible artifacting and compression artifacts that are easily noticeable on a 60" HDTV, but other then that things worked fine.

Hey guys, how about tonight? Any sign of the Rangers-Flyers game or the Canes-Lightning, which Shaw says they are forbidden by the NHL to carry?

I don't see any info on Bell's site about NHL CI but StarChoice shows their price for CI is $174.99+tax.

I'm trying to figure out why on Saturday night CBCHD is showing Detroit @ Ottawa, yet the game is also listed on Centre Ice and Centre Ice HD. I really don't think Bell would air the game on Centre Ice if CBC is already showing it.

Both of those games are on Bell and Shaw right now in SD. Neither Bell or Shaw has them in HD.

Correction: The TB/Car game is on Bell in SD but NOT on Shaw. The NYR/Phil game is on both.

Does Star Choice offer less games or something different about their CI package or is it up to each provider what they charge for CI?

thanks, that's what i thought. wondered if habskilla had found something different. cheers.

Are they televising any of the Pre-season games. NHL.com shows specifically the Senators playing this Saturday (Sept 20th) @ 7pm. I've checked my 9242 guide, and do not see anything

I am really debating signing up for CI. As a wings fan, the only games all year that I know I will get are the one tonight vs the Sens, in Nov. against the Flames and the Winter Classic on New Year's. Does anyone know if the 4 installments of $49.75 are throughout the season or are they 4 in a row?

Bell doesn't carry CBC Ottawa, so the only way to get the game is to put it on Centre Ice.
