I was never an NHL Center ice subscriber or a Bell Expressvu subscriber until the fall of 2005.

The NHL was coming back from the lockout, and were offering in conjunciton with Bell a promotion to new subscribers...

It was 2 years of Centre Ice for the cost of 1. So, I thought... what the heck. I signed up.

I've had nothing but problems from the company, to overbilling, taking 2 months for the guys to show up with my receiver to install it (etc etc etc).

I paid for my first year of NHL Center ice ($170 or whatever), and expected this year to be free.... Just this month I looked on my bill and it had a $44.75 Centre ice charge. I have not been billed at all for it this year so far. Confused, I called up Bell.

After navigating their menu's for 20 minutes, I finally spoke with a guy. We talked about this for 10 minutes, then he put me on hold for 10 minutes. He then INSISTED that they have NEVER had that promotion, and I was going to have to pay for it. I INSISTED that they did, and it was the ONLY reason I signed up for their service. He then put me on hold again, and 5 minutes later my call was hung up.

Of course I didn't save anything from 2 years ago. The promotion was offered on their website (which is how I knew about it), and even after I signed up I got those little pamphlet things in my bill telling me about it.

There must be SOMEONE out there who signed up for the same thing, or has at least heard of it?

I have emailed NHL CENTRE ICE to get some backup from them.

Thanks

A Frustrated Bell guy

I have never ever heard of this promotion and I am a NHL CI subscriber.

Do a search on the boards, if it was a promotion, it would have for sure been mentioned here.

If anything, people last year were bitching that price wasn't cut by NHL to lure people to get NHL CI.

I have also haven't heard of this promotion by Bell for NHL CI that you are talking about. I am with Cogeco digital cable, and right after the NHL Lockout I was reviewing options for which Center Ice was the best between satellite and digital cable. After much debate I decided to go with Cogeco's Super Sports Pack (NHL CI, NFL ST, NBA LP, MLB EI, OHL ActionPak, Nascar In-Car and NCAA F and B) for only 26.99 a month. After researching the websites for Bell, Shaw, StarChoice and Cogeco I saw that the best promotion was by Cogeco. I never saw this promo that you are talking about with Bell. hmmmmm maybe you got ripped off, i don't know. I have had the Super Sports Pack with Cogeco for over two years now and I am more than satisfied with this pack. I love every sport it offers me and now my life is like dedicated to this package almost 24/7 lol.
