I guess I should check were your location before I post...

As far as regular tv goes (non Sunday ticket).
As far as Expressvu goes FOX East Coast 1.00pm game was blacked out on the Sat but picked it up on the antenna.

I don't think Global picked the game on CBSHD yesterday; pictuer quality was about the same from antenna to SAT.

Is there a link to Bell's sunday ticket schedule? Looking at the Directv schedule it would appear the following games are in hd:

Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers
New Orleans Saints at Cleveland Browns
Seattle Seahawks at Detroit Lions
Philadelphia Eagles at Houston Texans
Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs
Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots
Denver Broncos at St. Louis Rams
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers
Dallas Cowboys at Jacksonville Jaguars

They have 3 games not in HD they are:

Baltimore Ravens at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
New York Jets at Tennessee Titans
San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals

I cancelled my Sunday Ticket because of the "up to 6 games in HD" promotions by Bell. Was that number correct? Last year they had 9.

Sorry to hear about the poor pq on the hd channels. Hope it's not a bandwidth problem, because they are adding more channels this fall and winter.

come on now...blaming bell is a past time here among some posters...posting facts ruins all their fun...you should be ashamed of yourself. ;)

They had every HD game produced, but... at least 2 games that I know of were unwatchable (drop outs or no audio).

Every game but 2 was in HD..

Anyone know what why they had problems with the broadcast and should we be expecting the same next week ??

A quick question ... by subscribing to NFL Sunday Ticket .. can I avoid the Global HD SIM SUB???

To my understanding the no audio on the Arizona vs. SF game on NFLHD1 was a FOXHD issue. My signal strength was excellent.

Nevermind my ranting!!! they have now added the 2 missing games to the guide.

I wonder if someone from Bell watches this board?

GO BROWNS!!!

I just checked my guide and it shows everything, so I am happy :)

I am also happy to see that Bell is remapping the CBSHD and FOXHD channels into the Sunday Ticket HD channels. I had made my own custom favourites the last 2 years so that I could surf HD games UP and DOWN, but I prefer Bell doing it.

Now to see how crappy the sim-sub'd games look that are originating from 720p sources (ie FOXHD) and being played on 1080i stations like GLOBALHD. Last years playoffs 720p games looked piss poor due to the interlacing from the conversion. I really wish they would just insert the canadian commercials at 1080i and leave the game feed at its originating format. Depending on how it looks this year, I may considering joining the grey market to recieve the proper picture quality. (btw I am watching on a 106" with a Panasonic AE900 and I am very picky about picture quality :D )

The SF/Ariz game was not HD. It was SD widescreen. Did Bell count that as one of their HD games?

RyanW, Don't waste your time and/or money. The "grey market" has deteriorated in the past couple of years and should now be more appropriately named the "low bitrate- butchered rez-HD lite" market. If picture quality is what you are looking for, Dave & Charlie can't deliver it for you.

Perhaps one day when they are done migrating to MPEG4 and have enough birds out there... maybe will they decide to allocate the right amount of bandwith(MPEG2 should be 19mbps as opposed to the current 7mbps they often deliver) and also maybe they will re-instate full 1920X1080i resolution instead of the pathetic 1280X1080i they currently use... the grass aint always greener... and this is coming from someone who HATES simsubs with a passion... so much so that I always record/watch any global simsubbed shows (example: Prison Break, 24 etc...) on the west coast (3 hours later) so I can get the actual US feed. The day Global west launches on expressvu, keep all sharp metal objects away from me...

I keep an eye on the NFL.com schedule all year and in the last couple of months of the season, you would notice that the NFL constantly made changes late in the week. They introduced a flex schedule this year, where they move games all over the place. Bell kept up with the changes for the most part IMHO.

A buddy of mine has Sunday Ticket on ExpressVu and he had this awesome interactive thingy that alerted him when stuff happened in other games (scores, red zone, etc). It also had a single screen that had all the scores, and you could tune to any game just by arrowing around the screen.

Was really, cool! Anyone else try this? Wanted to know if it was worth the money before ordering.

Thx!

My advice is instead of picking up a grey market sat; you should install an antenna. You will be able to pickup the games directly from the US (in the proper HD format). Check out the OTA forums. I love my antenna.
