Nexus One vs Captivate

So, I was ready to buy the captivate but today I was presented with an offer to buy a mint Nexus One my co-worker has for sale.

The video reviews show that the Captivate seems to be a bit nicer but my question is that if I have the opportunity to get the Nexus One contract free, would it be worth it to sign my life away for 2 years to get the captivate?

My other thought is that the Nexus one would probably be cool enough to allow me to wait it out till the next round of phones that may come out in the future that are nicer than the current lineup.
 
Well, the good thing about the Nexus One is that you know it will receive updates on a regular basis. Can't say the same thing about the Captivate - or any other Samsung phone for that matter.
 
Price will make a difference, but the Nexus1 will have better software support (but no hardware support). The Captivate has a better GPU, but won't receive updates as fast.
 
Ah, all good points. It seems that I did not get an overwhelming response to not get the Nexus one so I think I am going to go for it. Thanks for the input.
