Nextel Employee's Help ?????

A Friend of mine has a Nextel phone/ 2 way radio service thru his company.Problem is he can only contact his fellow employee's using the 2 way radio feature, but using PCS he can contact anyone. Is there anyway he can unblock himself, so he can contact others using the "walkie talkie" service.Any help would be appreciated THANKS
 
Without seeing the phone I can only guess, but it sounds like he has a key-pad lock and the unit is set to "Address book only". He would have to go to an authorized service center to have the lock removed, but most places won't do that without speaking with the authorized contact on the account for approval. It can also be done with some of the programs that can be downloaded. Take note: the company will be able to tell this has been done by looking at the call detail.
 
the best way to unblock his phone is to TELL YOUR NEXTEL REP BUDDY TO CALL DEALER SUPPORT, they'll do any changes on any accnt with only the billing zip code, other than that if you or your friend calls in to customer care, they want billing name, password, acct number, ect.
