I was out at the cinema today and decided to go and see Next (instead of Blades of Glory and Sunshine).

WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!! It's as if they did not finish the film - too lazy to think of how to make it a sequel just thought he we will do (what they did - basically not finish the film) and leave it half way through a movie, then make a sequel with the second half of it.

Might not make sense that but if you have seen it it will - BUT I URGE YOU DONT GO

Yes, I enjoyed it very much, Nicholas Cage is on good form and the twists and turns - not knowing whether you are in real time or part of his visions - certainly means you have to pay attention.

Go see it and make your up own mind.

I cant believe that people actually liked this film as it is terrible and possibley one of the worst films I have seen this year!
The acting was awful and for a action film there was a massive lack of action in it. The premation thing was interesting at the start but after a while it became very boring. The bit at the end that previous people have talked about had the whole cinema groaning at having to sit through any more of this rubbish!
I have to say that I loved Nicolas Cage in films such as Con Air, The Rock and Face Off. However he has been terrible in recent films such as The Wicker Man and Next!

I do think the acting was poor, well it always is with Nicolas Cage in my opinion. But had to go watch this as I am reviewing it for my local paper.

Its not terrible and the storyline is good but I do think they should have just left the ending at the explosion and not try and make a happy ending out of it.

I think that is one of the biggest mistakes with hollywood film makers. They think they should always have a happy ending. It would have made a slight improvement just to have left it at the blast. Leave you thinking what a twit that guy was and you can then reflect on all that he did wrong.

It wasn't a complete disaster like The Wicker Man remake.

I'd say go along and make up your own mind. Oh and tell me how you think it should have ended. I think endings are crucial, and if they are right can lift a film.

I've not seen this film, but all I can think about when I see the trailer is the clothing store... :o I'll wait for Sky Movies judging by some of your reviews of it though. ;)

ironically I have seen this movie a millions of times before and unlike the character in the movie, the makers of this movie had multiple possibilities but decided on the wong choice.

I saw this last night. Nicholas Cage was playing Nicholas Cage again  At the end I wanted it to finish where it did, I was dreading it continuing on the alternative story. Wish I'd had Frank Cadillac's powers then I wouldn't have wasted two hours of my life watching this load of old tosh

I like Nicholas Cage, and he has made some classic movies. But... this wasn't one of them. I completely agree about the ending, and the business of seeing into the future for 2 minutes only... except when he was thinking about his GF - why? how? There was a hint she might have been special too, but it came to nothing.
