Newsgroups for Music?

I'm only interested in music by bands on mostly small labels - many out of print and difficult to get on CD. I hear that Oink - Bittorrent comes closest to what I need, but how about newsgroups? I did some searches of newgroups, but I think that only reflects the last 3 days sinc

Are newsgroups what I'm looking for or mostly for just released? I need to know before I pay the $20 for the month and invest in newsleach + all the time figure it all out. Thanks!
 
Yes i will recommend newsgrups for music, im veryinto House Music and i find a lot of good stuff on Usenet. There are a LOT of different groups for all kinds of music, give it a try u wont forgret it :]
 
There is a lot of good music, usually high-quality rips, in every genre, that you will find on Newsgroups.

Binsearch has a very good group-browse feature. http://binsearch.info/groups.php
There are so many music groups available, it can be a challenge just to find them all. One thing you can do is search for an artist, then browse the groups the titles appear in.
