Sometimes Religion is said to be the driving force of a war, but you have to realize that every country has it's own agenda. While appeasing god may be stated as a reason, generally it's not all that high on the To-Do list.
 
Uh, Rome actually treated it's occupied constituents fairly well, at least, it's European conquests. Treated Egypt quite well as well. The Ottoman Empire and Roman Empires both treated it's subjects VERY well. At least, when compared to how they lived without the Romans or Turks.
 
They could get drawn into it very easily, if Israel bombs saudi it will kick off in a big way and i imagine alot of countries will get drawn in against their will. And i can't see many countries siding with the arab countries.

India could crush Pakistan if it wanted too.
 
Saudi has been getting kinda pissed about the palestine situation, but I don't think they'd want to piss the US off so much. if this is true, I certainly never saw it coming. doubt it though. drudge and cnn both have nothing about it, so it probably hasn't happened.
 
India's worst enemies are Muslims, with terrorist groups killing a few hundred in attacks just weeksa go. Aside from the United States, they are Israels greatest ally. They share a common enemy, common values, and a common desire for peace.
