(NewPhones) Cricket A WTF?

Nope... and there is no RMF card for either to view.

Through experimentation, I determined that:

A100 is a phone.

A600 is a ***wireless internet (WBA) device/modem/card/can-only-guess***

Too bad I don't have broadband on my account any more, else I'd try changing models to it, and see if it shows an RMF card....

Well, we can be pretty sure these are no samsung devices...

--------------

I'm predicting the A600 might be some kind of broadband router, that maybe works by itself, or perhaps neeRAB the UM100C to plug into it, or something like that.

This is based on the Kyocera KR1 broadband router, which could accomodate the KPC650, cricket's first wireless card. Cricket never sold/mentioned the KR1 router, but they probably wish they had... cause I know lots of people that wish they could *easily* share their cricket wireless connection among multiple computers in their house...

But then again, if the A100 is a phone, and the A600 is not, then it *must* be a pda/smartphone, with non-proxied full-speed EVDO internet capabilities! The model#s are too similar to be completely different types of products...

Hmmm, A600, hmmm, hmmm, hmmm.... oh well, have to wait and see...

the a100 is a triband verison of the cricket ez - but its not so round - non promo price for direct stores is 89.99

the a600 is a new usb modem coming out with a sd card reader - i dont rememeber if its microsd but i think so, non promo price for direct stores is 130 - suppossed to be faster and all software is loaded on the actual usb modem...no cd required and mac users wont have to go onto some website and download (or i won't have to burn cd's anymore)

the a100 was suppossed to launch on 1/5 but something happened and it got a little delayed but both will be launched really soon

I thought as much, that one of them was going to be the new cricket ez replacement, new air card that i dint know, i thought the other one was going to be like a new cheap keybord phone or something.

yes i posted some time ago (~late october) about the aircard but i did not know the model nuraber, only that cricket was coming out with a new cheaper aircard that had a microsd reader built in.

they are working on rev a. all new markets have rev a, all existing markets are being moved to rev. a.
however, as i have stated several times before, and i know you are based out of ccv, we here in ccv will be the last to get rev. a as we were among the first to get evdo (our equipment is the oldest even tho it was launched in a couple other markets first) and supposedly our network equipment being used is not upgradeable to rev. a like the other markets are.

additionally rev. a is being used for increased upstream capacity and you will not see increase downloading speed, at least for now, over rev. 0

just got the info today. someone had previously mentioned in a different post but the a100 will have brew and wap and is seems like speaker independant VR. it is scheduled to be released in "early february"

an interesting note, this hanRABet is supposedly designed by cricket. does anyone know who the OEM/manufaturing partner is?

edit: there is also vibrate functionality on the a100

i could be wrong but the moto evoke (forgot the model nuraber) is gonna be touchscreen but the a100 is a triband calcomp/cricket ez wanna be

i just phone this in the metro formum.. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g241/NurabaOneI/New_moto_touch_phone.jpg

PLEASE tell me that's not it? why have a slide out keypad that is that basic? you could just have onscreen dialing, loose the slide and make the screen bigger while reducing the size of the phone and should come up with a similar manufacturing cost.

honestly lie to me... whatever it takes to keep the hope alive that cricket would actually come out with a decent touch phone... or i'll have to settle for a HINT since my 6275i is abbout to die...
