Newer version of Macromedia Flash MX?

My daughter was using the trial version of Macromedia Flash MX, and loved it. The trial period has expired. I wanted to get her the program, but the only one I can find is from 2004. Is there a newer version? Or is there another flash program that is better? Thanks!
