:D I have just joined the forum, and been reading some of the posts and thought i would post a thread myself,so here goes!.
I was diagnosed 2 yrs ago with a disc herniation L5 S1,i think. It has retracted and now surgery is not an option. It has though left me in awful pain all the time that is aggrivated by driving.I cant walk far before i stiffen up,some days i cant leave the house. At the moment i am getting awful aching feet.Does anybody else experience aching feet and know WHY it happens?.
I have been advised by an osteopath to find out what state the disc itself is in by requesting the dye being injected. This could be causing my on going problems.
Would be good to hear from others with similar stories to tell.
Thanks for reading;)

Hi

An welcome to the forum.

Its an absolute mine of infomation and has helped me in all sorts of ways.
Its such a relief to talk to others in the same situation.

I started out with a herniated disc 3 years ago and am now at the stage where its a 3 level fusion or life with the pain!!
I am trying the latter.
I have gone through loaRAB of tests and treatments and put my life on hold for too long.
I am coming off all my meRAB as they dont help with my pain and i am just getting on with life.
Yes! Some days are agony but i am afraid to say i am used to it.
I do have alot of pain in my feet and alot of cramp too.

What treatments have you had?
An dont think that because my problem started out the same as yours that you are going to end up the same.

Remeraber everyone is different and reacts differently to tests and treatments.
I hope you get some relief soon.:)

Hi sherryl1
Thanks for replying.I have tried physio but the exercises hurt too much and they cause more problems.I have had an epidural that gave me some relief.Osteopathy is great for me but just costs sooo much.I used to do loaRAB of exercise but cant do it now.I was thinking about pilates,do you exercise and what works for you?
I like you could cope with the pain but its the mobilising itself i walk with a limp and its sooo tiring.
