From my understanding newborns can endure lifelong medical issues from being born addicted. Is the baby still in the hospital?

Also, has the baby been born yet or are you still pregnant? You also need to make sure that your OB is aware of you ativan use through the pregnancy so that they can have a special neeRAB pedi on hand for the delivery in case there are problems.

I think that the wd depenRAB on how long you used, how much and when. Make sure to be comepletely honest with your OB about this so that your baby can get the care that they need.

If you've already had the baby you'll want to talk to your pediatrician about this. I wish you and the baby well.

kwebbga is a man, so I don't imagine he is the one who used the ativan. Can you give us a little more information, so we can help you with your question.

Thanks!

OK.........I dont have any experience with baby withdrawls from ativan but my own 2 boys were born with opiate withdrawl symptoms. The first came home with me from hospital, needed no intervention and no meRAB but my second son had a horrible time and was in SCUBU(baby special care) for 4 long weeks and needed to be weaned off. I hadnt used any differently with the second than the first. The advice I would give is please be very honest with your OB or health visitor - find someone you trust . This is so important if the baby is going to be given the absolute best options and treatment. You have to put aside your own erabarassment and be up front . They will be able to ensure that a correct team is on standby during delivery if the baby is as yet unborn. I can tell you that seeing your own child withdraw from anything that you have taken is very hard but it is never to late to do your best by them.
Please let us know how it all goes.
