Our newborn son came three weeks early and had a hard time sleeping in his crib. We are assuming it's because his room is dark and silent, and the nursery he was used to at the hospital this week was always bright and noisy. We recently put him in the rocker swing after a feeding and he slept for four hours straight before his next feeding- twice as long as he normally slept.
We are wondering if it's okay for him to nap/sleep in the rocker... like instead of flat on his back in the crib, now slightly raised but still unable to move much in the swing. Swing goes back and forth gently, not strongly at all. Do you think we'll be able to get him used to his crib? Should we just let him cry it out when we put him in it?
We are hoping to get answers from parents or medical professionals- thanks!
