Newbie With Questions

Hello all. Just bought an '07 C50 Black and immediately installed Cobra steetrod slashdowns - love the look, and like the sound as long as Im giving her fuel. On throttling down she seems to pop, rattle and burp. I immediately ordered and installed the Fi2000 in hopes that would help, but I can tell no difference and Im not sure if pot adjustment will help or its just me. Does putting new exhaust increase the need for a freer flowing air intake? ... I'm looking at the Hi-five, but dont want to spend the bucks yet if its just for looks. Also it seems to idle a bit high - is there a screw somewhere on FI??

It helps if you read the manual. Idle adjustment is section 6 page 15.

After market Exhaust, air cleaner and FI will require settings from the FI MFG.
Normally there is a help line # or website provided. You contact them with info on bike and parts you have added and they give you suggested settings to try.

Some one else may pop up here who is running the same setup as you. Or you could use the search function to find more threads on the subject.

Welcome. Installing a more open exhaust leans the mixture, sometimes beyond what the computer can adapt to. Opening the intake inhances that problem. Like blackie said, you need to remap the computer. It is a common topic, so do a little reading.
