If I have read the thread right you have wiped your device and are now at the 507 screen. My next step would be uninstalling DM and the operating system from the pc and then going to c/program files/common files and deleting the research in motion folder. Rebootiing and then reinstalling DM and the OS. Rebooting again and connecting the device. Then open DM and seeing if it loads the OS and if it does not follow the path I mentioned before and trying the loader again. If this still doesnt work there are a few more options. Also remember if this OS is not for your carrier delete the vendor.xml.

thanks for the tip!So after trying on my work laptop with no luck, I will try this now on my desktop. Since I have never installed anything related to RIM or BB on my desktop, maybe I will have better luck with just installing the OS... here goes nothing...

Actually that may be all it takes. Had someone the other day do it just in reverse but never had anything rim on his laptop and voila...hope it works. If not keep posting and if I can't help you get it maybe one of the more experienced experts will have a fix.

hmmm, maybe its the OS? I noticed that this one that I am using is ver 4.5, while ATT is only offering ver 4.2! maybe this is the problem...

Go with the 4.2 for now. Sorry if you mentioned that before I didn't catch it. If you can get it running with 4.2 then you can try the 4.5 if thats what you decide to do.

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~
Which 4.5? Carrier? Just delete the vendor file, and you can use anyone's!
Try the Rogers .81 or .102.
After downloading and installing to pc, start, search, vendor file, delete.
Usb BB, open DM, and it should ask if you want to install

YAY! Finally got it working! Just had to redo everything 10 million times! But now I'm happy! Thanks again to everyone that helped!
