newbie question for Bell TV programming

My wife is forcing me to switch to Bell....just because of Playhouse Disney.

Wondering what is the cheapest way to get HD with Bell? We were offered a $70 package with HDPVR, but it seems it comes with too many channels we don't need ~ 6 theme packs.

Is it possible to get the Basic and add a few channels, will I still get the FREE HD channels (if I rent/buy the HD PVR)?

Here are all I would need -
1). Basic Channels like CBC, ABC, Global, Weather Network
2). TSN, Treehouse, Family, Playhouse Disney, Discovery

Another question - Rogers' VIP gives me a free SD box and supports up to 4 outlets free. I have 3 TVs at home - I could have 1 TV (on HD), 1 TV (digital on SD box), and the remaining TV gets Analog signal for free. How about Bell? Do they have any analog? Is that a MUST to rent a box to watch TV in bedroom?

When you sign up you only need to keep the basic package on your account ($33). Everything else is an optional extra you can remove. The free HD channels are just that, free. They come with the basic package, all you need is a receiver capable of decoding them. Bell signals are all digital, no analog, which means you need a separate box for every TV (or a 9242 split to 2). You don't have to rent it, if you buy a box there's no extra charge to have it active on your account (even if you get it off Craigslist, just run the serial numbers by Bell first to make sure it can be activated).

And I thought the 6 theme pack bundle was around 60, not 70.

Thank you!

They were telling me something like entry requirment (i.e. minimal charges) for HD is the HD Essentials package ($54) + some digital fee + PVR rental - bundle saving/offers = $70 + Tax

So basically I can go with HD basic and add the channels I need.

Check out the web site.

You can get the cost down a little is you just get the free 20 or so HD and order online.
