Newbie needs advice on Japanese Vodafones

Hello everyone! This is my first post here.
I've only had a cellphone for about a month or so. It's a Samsung x495 from T-Mobile (prepaid). Yeah... Not very good so I'm looking to get a new one.

I've got my eye set on a few unlocked Japanese Vodafone handsets on eBay and was hoping some people could give me some advice on them. I need W-CDMA and GSM (T-Mobile is on 1900 I believe and the sets I'm looking at are tri-band).

So here are my choices!
- Toshiba 904T (was my first choice)
- Samsung 804SS
- Toshiba 903T
- Toshiba 803T

My main needs are customizable ringtones (MP3 or AAC) and wallpapers, which I believe all these have. But can they ring and vibrate at the same time? I'd also like a decent camera. Would get the Sharp 903SH if I could (zoom, baby!) but it's too expensive. I hope Japanese phones last a while since it'll be some time before I go get a new one. Any ideas how long they usually last with normal use?

So if someone can tell me what they think is the best of the 4 choices, maybe some pros and cons for each, I'd really appreciate it. I did read one review on this forum about the 904T. Sounds pretty good to me, though I wish the awesome 3.2-pixelness had zoom.

I'm hoping to make a decision within 4-5 days since the auctions will be ending. Thanks in advance!

PS Or should I just forget about Japanese-ness and just get that SE w600i I was considering before?

'Round $300.

I'm leaning more towards the Toshiba 803T now. I just realized how HUGE the 804T is. The 803T is more Razr-sized height-wise, so it wouldn't look real weird carrying it around. ^^; Plus it turned out a friend of mine living in Japan has the same phone and she loves it.

The camera on the Samsung 804SS is only 1.3MP, compared to the 803T's 2.26MP, and the height of the 903T is close to that of the 804T, which means it's BIG. I think the 803T is good middleground.

Anyone have anything good (or bad?) to say about the Toshiba 803T?? I hope it'll accept AAC for ringtones since MP3s won't work unless they're protected.

u mentioned ebay....

have u looked at hi-mobile.net/myworldphone.com/markways/plemix etc...

i was doing research for similar voda's also...

appearently there r quite alot of info on HoFo that u can find about those sites and their CS/reliability comments....

however, first i do not want to compare my phone with the person next to me. Why? i dun wana trick myself.....hhehe.....long story short

just get a phone u like with features that lasts

markways.com and plemix.com and easy-cell.ca has 803Ts
