Hey All,
Im new to the Forum and the Ducati world. Ive been a inline 4 person and done a little roadracing with WERA. i purchased a mint 02 RC51 and now i want to step up in the world of twins...lol. so looking at the 848 or the 1198. Any suggestions, dealerships to stay away from etc etc??

How many miles on the RC? If less than 5K go with the 848. Just my .02

Ya my RC51 has 4400 miles. found a older gentleman that owned it. lived up by Albany, NY.

Welcome to the forum ...... do take a look in the kitchen sink too. We have a lot of fun there and you'll make a load of friends. You'll find they'll all happily partake in plenty of advice on different models, too. You can't beat a twin so welcome to the world of a beeeeautiful sound!

On a personal note, I started with the 1098 and never looked back!

Obviously, see if you can test ride them both before you decide. 1098/1198 has a bit more power than the 848.......but they are still all great to ride (I have a 1098, wifey has an 848)....

If you can swing it the 1198s is the best Ducati bang for the buck IMO. Welcome aboard BTW.
