New Wolverine film leaked online

4GB H264 encoded blu-ray rips are, to the naked eye, almost identical in quality to the 25GB blu-ray disc.

4GB can easily be downloaded over two or three nights on a 5MB connection. Many people can now plug their PC in to their HD TV. . instant free blu-ray substitute.

And when H264 compliant standalone DVD players hit the market, blu-ray will be finished.

This ISN'T an April Fool's joke either, it's genuine. How gutting for them. Especially considering it's probably not gonna be that good of a film. They don't want everyone knowing that before it comes out!

I'm really looking forward to this film, X-Men is a bit of a pleasure of mine (:o).

It's a bit of a shame that this has happened, but I should think that anyone watching it would be a fan of the franchise and therefore will see it at the cinemas too.

Hmm.. not a bad film at all, definitely one to get on Blu-ray when it comes out. Unfortunately I can't go to cinemas anymore because the sound is too loud; I've tried attentuated earplugs but my ears get sore when I leave them in for too long :(

I'd suggest this is a deliberate leak by Fox of a big budget film which the company had high hopes for, but which has completely failed to generate any hype or buzz in the face of all the other blockbusters which are due out in the next few weeks.

Release a good quality copy sans special effects via the back door, people who may be interested in the film or who didn't know about it, may see the leak, and if they like it, will hopefully pay to see the finished version.

DVD copies of the leak will be given to family members and frienRAB. . .viola, free advertising for a film which no one would've paid to see if they'd not seen the pirate.

Let's not be so daft as to think that someone at a special effects company leaked this.

I thought it was pretty good. Not sure why there is so much hate towarRAB this movie already when this particular version isn't even finished yet!?

I shall definitely be getting this on Bluray and might even go see it at the cinema.

I was a bit confused through the story though as I always thought
Logan/Wolverine never had past memories, but obviously the ending explains this and made me go "aahhh".
Also, never knew he was born a mutant and already had claws and healing abilities. Always thought he was 'made' a mutant through Weapon X?

One thing I couldn't get over was that the guy out of 'Van Wilder' player DeadPool :D

Re. your spoiler, that discovery has only been a relatively recent thing.. well, I say recent - I think the issue of Uncanny X-Men that dealt with:

Magneto ripping out Wolverine's adamantium, but lo and behold, the claws and healing factor were still there

was released about 15-16 years ago now.. oh, only seems like yesterday.

This won't be a publicity stunt because when this happened once before someone got a hefty jail sentence. I won't be surprised if someone gets prosecuted for this.

I know its very easy to do, but I simply don't agree with downloading movies without paying for them.

I've downloaded TV shows, but only to watch them a few days before they come on UK screens. But its a different matter with movies, where I'm directly taking money away from the producers and makers if I don't watch them in the cinema.

Ultimately it just leaRAB to less movies made, and studios taking less risks with movies. Neither of which is good.

I think you'll find that most of us who download films early do actually buy the ones that are good on dvd.. or bluray these days anyway.

For years now, with films and music, I've simply used downloading as try before you buy. If I don't like it, it gets deleted and if I do like it, I buy the proper version.

On a moral level, this is more acceptable than me paying to see or listen to something on the basis of a jazzed up preview or trailer, only to discover that it's an absolute load of pants and I've been ripped off.

This was on Moviehole website about the leak of Wolverine:

"I've been tossing up whether I should mention this or not. I originally thought that if I posted this some of you might possibly go on a hunt for the incriminating file. I later came to the realization that those that are going to do the wrong thing here have probably already done so.

Talking of course about the leaked

You don't have to illegally download music now for most things, you can find most music that you want to buy online in legal stream form or 30 second clips. I've listened to quite a lot of whole albums on Spotify that were on my to buy list and I've scratched quite a few off my list now because they were not worth the money. Love it.

:)

But as to the film, I just don't understand why people want to watch it with things missing... people not have patience? :p

Hmm.. you're not wrong actually.. the Amazon store seems to have long enough previews on there. Just bought Rodrigo Y Gabriela :p

You'd be surprised at the amount of films that haven't yet been released you can find on the net these days. Pre release screeners are quite easy to come by if you know where to look.
