hi i hope you can just help me out on this situation:

1. My computer is connected to the internet through an office LAN with a proxy server
2. I know the IP address and Port of the proxy server.
3. Limewire is installed on my computer not the proxy server
4. Software such as Limewire is not allowed to be installed on the proxy server

One thing i know is that if it is installed on the proxy server it will work, but as you may have noted above i am not allowed to install it there.

My question is, is it possible for me to connect to the gnutella network through my computer which is connected to the internet via the office LAN.

Please help me out if you can i would be so grateful.

Versuch macht kluch ;-)

LW does currently not support proxies, but if you dont need an authorisation for the proxy and the port for gnutella is open it *might* work.

(For me it does not work in the office environment)
