new user, can't search

Hey, I just downloaded eMule for the first time... and I'm getting zero search results, even for searches that should have a billion results.

I have other file-sharing programs working just fine, so it shouldn't be a firewall thing. What am I doing wrong?

Apologies if this is an annoying newbie question. Thanks for any help!

1. Have you joined a server?
2. Have you forwarded your ports?
3. Has your firewall been set to 'allow' eMule?
4. Have you spelt it correctly?
5. Is the search item you're looking for in your filters?
