new to forum... have a couple of g1 questions

Hello everyone!
I have a couple of questions about my g1....
1. Will my phone get an update past 1.6? (Which I'm running now)
2. When is flash coming? ( I know I'm beating a dead horse here... but I've been waiting for damn near a year now....)
3. Is there a way to modify the led lights, Without downloading a secondary sms app?
I don't want to mod my phone with cyanmod.. it looks too confusing.

1. Extremely unlikely, since the phone is in it's phasing out stage. Especially with the upcoming MT Slide release.

I should of added to my number 2 answer official flash will probably be out by June or in June. I think. possibly.

The best app, in my opinion, for controlling the LED is Missed Call. Among a whole load of other things, it will allow you to have any colour of LED, flashing at any rate, when an SMS arrives, and it'll keep flashing until you pull the notification bar down to read the SMS message. It doesn't take over your SMS app, but you will need to turn off notifications in the SMS app itself, otherwise you'll get notified twice.
