I am glad I found this board. Just to introduce myself, I'm a 33 year old female, live in Chicago, just relocated from NYC a year ago. Two years ago I had sudden back pain in my lower back and found out I have spondy at L5-S1. I saw a chiro, and eventually with patience and PT I felt better. I also saw a neurologist but didn't find much relief, only enough to help me sleep at night. I liked the Lidocaine patches but that was really it. I finally got back up to running again and ran a few races. I was running up to 35-40 miles a week and when stretching after a long run, got stuck. I felt pain in the same spot, but it started to go away after a few days and moist heat/ice. 4 days later I was in a severe car accident. My husband and I were rear-ended on our way to the commuter train. We were hit by an idiot who was on the phone and speeding on icy roaRAB in a left turn lane. He made no attempt to stop. We were hit at 40-45 mph. My husband was driving and made the split-second decision to pull the emergency brake so we wouldn
