New T3 Security Software

I'm sure I'm just behind the times, but did everyone see the new security upgrade palmOne is now offereing for free?

It includes 128-bit encryption for files, and better management overall. Plus a new "quick-password" feature. What's everyone's take on this? I assume it'll be in teh T5 as well.

I have used this - the encryption of data on the machine obviously slows it down whilst encrypting/decrypting - and I cannot vouch for it's security as I've never tried to break into it.

I beleive there might be a problem if you encrypt your diary, as the alarms don't sound - but i didn;t investugate this too far.

the quick password is quite good, but better i think is the numeric keypad that it gives you when you switch on, so you can dial in a numeric password.

Has anyone installed the security update? It appears innocuous enough. But messing with that could lock up the T3 irretrievably. Your comments please or drop me a PM
