new t-mobile phone,suggestions..?

my 2yr plan has finished and anyways i want to get a new phone becuase you cant even see the screen anymore and hear a loose piece on my phone. I like and mostly use texting. what phone should i get. i would like a phone that has a keyboard or not. please no sidekicks. more like maybe a blackberry, touch screen something like that. if you own any one of these two is it a good phone. or what do you suggest. also i am confused and it may be a stupid question but i really dont know if you check the t-mobile site the section that says free phone. it says with 2yr contract. etc. if i get those free phone is it free or do i have to pay a bit. what does free phone mean?
 
If you are looking for the latest and greatest phone that TMO has to offer, I would recommend that you check out the HTC HD2 or the Nexus One. Both are touchscreen devices, both are 1ghz snapdragon processors. The HD2 is being released this week, but if you decide to go that route you should wait until Windows Mobile 7 is released, as HTC will not be offering an upgrade and the phone will initially ship with 6.5. I currently have a Nexus One and I love it. Absolutely beautiful phone, does everything that you could possibly need.
