I've been in the same middle school for four years, grades 6-9. I'm doing final exams right now as a senior in grade 9. I only have three more left! I'm so excited about having to go to a new school for grade 10, but at the same time, I'm heartbroken that I have to leave my amazing school. Everything that was ever important to me happened in that school, and I just can't believe theres less then a week left and I have to say goodbye to it forever.
The new school I'm going to holds grades 10-12, and I know next year I'm gunna have a hard time with the older people.
I really want people to like me when I go to my new school. I'm not a dork, but I'm not mega-popular, I feel as if I'm popular amoung my own group, not everyone in general. But, I'm sure when you guys all went to school, or maybe now when your still in school, theres that group that makes you feel so outta place all the time, and you wanna be part of that 'click' SO bad. In our school, we call them 'preps'.
Next year, theres gunna be even more then there is this year, and thats what scares me most, I've tried so hard for the past four years to become friends with them, and actually maintain it, but it never ever worked out. They all thought they were to good to be hanging out with someone that wasn't known to be in their 'click'. In my heart I feel cooler than them because I don't put people down the way they do, and I know people like me more than they like them because I'm nice to everybody, and everyone knows me.
I'm just terrifyed that next year, all of that is gunna change. Nobodys gunna know me, I'm probably not gunna end up in any classes with my friends, and thats just gunna make everything worse. I NEED SOME ADVICE HERE. I'm goin outta my mind!!! I don't know how I'm gunna manage next year..
I need some advice on how to get people to like me when I go to a new school where nobody knows my name. I mean.. how do I become known, and liked?
