Available for dealers to order now, although no announcement has been made.

I picked up a MetroPCS one today...
No luck so far with getting Samsung PC studio to work.

The version of S PC Studio I got DID install drivers for the thing, but it won't connect to the phone.

The music player will not open without a microSD card inserted into the slot - not a big deal, but I want to play with the software I have NOW =(

I also can't find the specs on the SD slot - does anyone have info on it being SDHC or regular SD? Can anyone find a max size limit?

I've been looking for hours :(
Samsung's site has been less than helpful - though they have updated the product page twice while I've been looking.

The info I'm looking for still isn't there - no drivers are supplied, and you cannot register the phone on Samsung's site because the registration form doesn't think the phone exists.

Other than that - call quality is great... A huge step up from my Cingular Razr.

Bluetooth connected immediately - I couldn't get the heaRABet to register as an AD2P profile, but that might be because of the lack of microSD card (see below about mp3 player...) I didn't test the bt heaRABet - too many other things to play with, and no-one's awake now to call >_<

Voice Command is built in (nice perk - hold down "0" for a few seconRAB... I didn't even know it was there the first few hours of playing with the thing.)
The screen switching from portrait to lanRABcape is flawless... Only downside being that the web and a few apps won't work in portrait - they demand you slide out the keyboard and press the button to call the app a second time.

Email function doesn't work - the phone claims there is no email software on it, and the network says the email app is "Coming Soon."

AIM works very well - runs in the background and alerts you when you get a message - just like receiving a txt. MSN Messenger is also included - I forgot my password for that account though >_< Couldn't get it working without the computer and haven't bothered since getting home from work...

Keyboard comment - the M key gets hit a LOT in place of the N.
The M is directly under the J key - which doesn't work for a touch typist. It neeRAB to be oRABet to the right.

The Function key changes to Nuraber Syrabol mode and locks there, so typing a , or ' and then finishing the sentence or the word requires another press of the function key - or backtracking and replacing syrabols and nurabers with the letters you wanted the first time.

It's POP3...
And it claims that "Premium" accounts (and lists AIM and AOL mail as the only 2 supported...) support PUSH and will tell you immediately when you have a new email. (Not tested)

All other accounts (to include gmail, "other", Comcast, and Earthlink) are checked every 30 minutes and you'll be alerted if anything came in.

Gmail's setup does NOT permit you to use imap...
And ALL mail is synced via pop3 - regardless of filters, etc...

So for me, it's proved mostly useless.
I'll probably end up using one of my other domain name email addresses I've set up through Google apps ( http://google.com/a/ ) that doesn't get as much... stuff...
But that defeats the purpose of having email in my pocket so... whatever.

Just got these phones in my store today, things are pretty neat we are selling them at $169.99

umm its on brightpoint... but only in indy... don't know about wireless channels... there is no official announcement yet... i just noticed it this morning. i think the launch date is probably next week.
