new Russell Tovey sitcom

I have to say I found that horrendous. No matter how much I loved someone, there is no way on this earth I could do that, or allow someone to do that to me. Well, I've had kids and when they were babies I would clean their nose with a cotton bud and wipe their snotty noses when they were a bit older.
But, with a man I supposedly loved? To literally stick my finger up his nose? Dear God, how gross.

It may be a sincere question but it seems a rather poorly thought out one.

Do you find it difficult to take Ian McKellan seriously in Lord of the Rings, knowing that he isn't really a wizard?

Do you find it difficult to take Hugh Laurie seriously in House knowing that he's not really a Doctor?

Do you find it difficult to take Humphrey Bogart seriously in Casablanca knowing he isn't really an ex-pat running a bar and helping the resistance?

Do you find it difficult to take John Hurt seriously in the elephant man knowing that he isn't, in fact, the Elephant Man?

In short no I don't, because he's an actor and it's a role.

From all the hype surrounding this I really thought I was going to enjoy it.

15 minutes in I realised I really wasn't going to enjoy it so switched it off and deleted. Very disappointing.

Extremely poor effort IMO and I'm far from being a prude but it was just grim and not what I want to watch - I know that it's meant to be 'real' but people sitting on the throne and announcing they need a poo just doesn't do it for me on any level...humourous or otherwise.

Boo and hiss.

This 'comedy' really was absolutely dire, I watched it all the way through, just hoping, I would at least crack a smile, but sadly not. Will not bother again. I expect better from the BBC,

I found the first episode slightly amussing so I decided to watch the second, not once did a laugh or even raise a smile.

I'll give it one more go but if no improvement i'm off

So some one being a wizard and fighting a flaming Balrog demon with magic is far more believable to you than Mr Tovey kissing a woman...

...OK. Fair enough. Absolutely no point arguing with that mindset.

Tovey was in Rob Brydans Annually Retentive and I dunno what Sarah has been in but gosh she is fit! :D overall the show is funny its like the Royle Family where nowt happens except with two love birds living sparsly on the dole

Don't find 'her' very nice at all. She was taking the piss out of his knob size last week! And then secretly stuffing her face in the kitchen this week... selfish mare :p

The trailers made this look funny, so I tried to watch the first episode on iPlayer. I'm afraid I don't seem to have lasted as long as most of you who have managed one or two eps or even fifteen or twenty minutes - I switched off after the opening line of:

"You are very very good at bl** j*bs. And I am very good at receiving them."

Or whatever it was. Not the kind of thing I was looking for in a "comedy", thanks!!

Agreed.

And the overall gross-ness of it all really put me off. Picking his nose, stuffing her face, announcing she needed a shit.

It was all so unnecessary. Plus she's such a bully to him.

As for the guy character, not funny imo. Whiney and chavvy is not a good mix for me. Plus, I know he's gay and everything, but the bits where they're supposed to be all over each other looked so awkward. He barely touched her!! And her him too.

Only funny bits were the bits involving the bearded neighbour.

I turned off the first ep but watched the repeat and decided to stick with it.

I like it now but the girl is unlikeble.

Paul is my favourite character. He is hillarious.
