thanks , you are right. i would normally blip it but i was using the clutch to slow me down. I guess bikes are different lol (hurts to laugh). I know the feeling of eating asphalt allto well fom cycling but it the worst plus the bike damage sucks. I actually thought of getting sliders since i knew it was only time before i dropped her.

The deal on the bike i got was unbelievable, i could kick myself a hundred timed for this. My bro rode a 996 but was younger and crazier than me. They called him crazy diamond.

nah its cool, i founded a forum , expected the flame. Now i have to think how I am gonna repair her since where I live dosent have a proper dealer. at a later stage i will take pics of the damage. i need to think about how I should approach this. And to think i just traded in my GF for this beauty, lol. Believe me the hurt is all mines.

I am not. But can tell you, they would tell you not to chainge gears in a corner.

Talking about all the "What ifs, and what not to dos" is just to hear yourself talk at this point.
Slipper clutch, late breaking, blipping...on and on. What for?

Dude. You need to learn to ride. Bottom line. Not busting your balls. Take the MSF.

Please do hang out here. Its a nice place. Glad your ok. But without training, I will never feel bad for you. Your asking for it. Some get lucky and live with out training, some dont even with training.

See you around.

BTW, what clutch cover you got? Did you give any thought what kind of oil to use?

I like how you put it. About looking at the torque factor in reverse. It deinately answwers my q. Most things I raced produced torque much higher so the compession factor wa never an issue. Throwing a car into low gear never produced.

But i agree by my tken of saying the gearing was palpible of allowing forgiving throttling a low speeds lends testament to its torque factor. In that case I would be totally unprepared for what happened let alone with my ineexperience on a bike.

These bike really do make torque low down as I have never even high reved her. Quite amazing the science behind it, you can say it is really a monster that once must be careful of.

C'mon Stim,

No one DESERVES to crash because of inexperience.

You've never crashed?

I totalled my 848 over a noob mistake and I raced professionally for Suzuki when I was younger.

I agree with your idea but it comes off a wee bit harsh.

the clutch cover i kept is the one you see in the pic. The bike was too new for a service so i didnt research about oil. Why do you ask? I thought an open cover might get things dirty so i kept off of buying one. I did buy arrow cans full tit. for it as well as a sprocket cover. the sheer weight of the bike was too much for me even. as i dropped her twice. My friend said i needed some more muscles, l,ol.

Jules. I crash all the time. Hahaha. Never ask any one to feel sorry for me.

Dont recall saying any one deserves to crash. sept me when I push to hard.

Not harsh. Was I? If so, sorry. Just trying to make a point.

996. I was being a dick about the cover and oil. All to often newbees start a thread about it with out useing the search.

Where are you located with no near dealers?

dude, i deserve it. i dont even care about my injuries, it is killing me on the bike. I was able to ride home in 2nd gear (broken shifter), the handle bar on the left side felt a bit off. I am assuming its bent. the ferring was effed. the tank wasnt touched but most of the ferring was sraped and the rear panel had a crack.

the palm of my hand was grinded down, so riding home was painful with the wind on the wound. Today everything hurts. my abdomin hurts , perhaps the tank or something hit me. Usually in bicycle crashes once you get ejected the seat would damage you.
