New Red Hot Chili Peppers Album, any good?

It is decent but I think it could be better. This CD is missing some of the hard funk that I identify with the band. I think this is one of those albums that I will like better with time. The second disc is much better than the first.

I think they could have cut out alot more songs, making it a great single cd rather than trying to swell up a double disc.

Even Anthony didn't think it was a great cd, as told in a MuchMusic interview

I think they did well enough. Id of loved it if they stuck to more of their heavier funk sound, but its still worth a listen.

This is a great album but doesnt beat BSSM thats for sure. Just wondering if anyone knows if Omar(mars volta guitarist) played on any of these tracks? Him and frusciante are both amazing guitarists.

not sure if omar played on the new album. i dowloaded mine, so i don't have the book. the mars volta and RHCP on tour this summer/fall FTW. gonna see them in columbus, wewt! it'll be my 2nd time for both.
