New Purple Ultra

ApehangerEd - don't want to hijack this thread, but how do you like your Rinehart True Duals? Any issues with accessing the oil or trans dipsticks?

It is kinda big for a girls bike,(though they do seem to be drawn to it) and it didnt come with a plastic daisy -- guess thats extra, and I suppose it might not pass the Harley image inspection ........ guess I will be different, but that started back in 2000 when the black shovel went away for the purple wide glide

I think it looks great........not invisible like a pack of 20 black bikes......seriously I saw a group of riders yesterday...everyone was on a black harley....with blacked out parts......kinda made me smile.......I love to see folks departing from the pack.....

Personally I really like them, as comparison -- my 2000 wide glide has a set of V&H long shots - Loud, 2007 has stock head pipe and V&H ovals - good sound taking off and mellows when cruising. I was looking for somewhere in between for the street glide. I happened to be at dealer when a ride was taking off and was listening to all the pipes. Heard the Rineharts on a 2011 street glide and that was the sound I was looking for.
As far as getting to the oil and trans sticks - you can get to them, need to be careful or you will BBQ a few fingers -- but I have done that on my other bikes, so not really an issue, Overall fit is nice & sounds good. Took a couple pics for you -- one is looking from the side, the other is top down looking at the oil holes.

I like it, but then I like purple. With that said, I don't understand all these comments about San Francisco and it being a girl's bike. Yes, I'm a woman and own a purple bike, but I don't know how many times I come out of to the parking lot and see and hear guys admiring my bike. I overhear them saying "nice paint job". And I guess it's the Mars vs Venus thing because I've never heard or read a woman telling another woman their bike was a boy's bike or looked gay. And women ride every sort of bike out there, just as you guys do. If it isn't our cup of tea, we'll still say "nice bike" because truly, as long as you are riding we think that's great. So honestly, why do you guys do that to each other?

They have self esteem issues. I have a purple bike and I really dont care if anyone else thinks it's a girl's bike or it's gay. Those types of comments help me identify the simpletons on this site.

As far as Ed's SG, the color reminds me of the black ice color from last year. I like it. I bet it's badass in the sun.

Yes and I'm sorry, I should have "some of you" guys do that to each other. Most everyone is supportive and encouraging, it just puzzles me when I see posts that demean other's choice of motorcycle or color.
