New PRL 5043?

right, but 1040 is the nationwide cricket basic plan PRL right? I've used it all over the place. evdo, roaming, all that is going to give us a lot of different prl's.

wow, we are getting quite a large assortment of prl's... If people can, when you post also include if you are getting EVDO... Just trying to get an idea of what point in the EVDO rollout cricket is at right now...

The prl interpretations available on the net dont have these new prls. I am just trying to determine what the deal is with the v5 prls. Does cricket have a bunch of new roaming contracts? Are the v5's EVDO? The more information hofo has, the better educated out cricket community can become. Dont discourage people from adding to this forum because you are sick of hearing about evdo. Im encouraging people to post any relevant information so we may have our own prl interpretations without waiting on others to interpret them.

that's the thing about an open forum I can always disagree. especially since I know how huge EVDO would be for cricket. also since I've heard about it for almost two years now haveing worked for corp. I also have worked next to lucent installers and they are slllooooww, if you read the press release it's a five year contract for $126 million. Yes new markets are coming like philly, vegas and chicago. I'm being realistic by letting people know not to get their hopes up too high. posting about evdo here is alot differant than rcr news or phone scoop telling people about it

Yes, this is an open forum and you can say whatever you want. Im trying to clarify the topic of this discussion. And yes we have all read your posts about working @ corp and dealing with telco equipment. Once again, we have all read the press release and no where in this forum are we saying that evdo is about to come out or trying to make people think it is about to. Im trying to determine whats up with the new prl. Thats it. If anyone got the impression that this forum is going to tell you something about the release of EVDO, it will not. I would Just like to have the data on prl versions, there location, and features present with the prl.

then it contains an ECA not available to all markets. that is why 1040 is still the shipping prl and *228 in most markets will get you a 1040 PRL

My Motorola E815 I got to work on Cricket just suddenly stopped being able to send/receive calls about two days ago. I get an error message whenever I try to dial "this call is not authorized". I tried *228 and authorization fails. I called customer service and they tell me just to try *228.

Any ideas?

I have been downloading my PRL from Colorada PRL page and after trying 2 of the PRLs I was finally able to get connected using 1040. After dialing *228 in Phoenix the PRL yesterday was changed to 1007. I'm hoping the changes gives me a couple more bars otherwise maybe I should manually change back to 1040.. hmmm...
