*I'm doing something a little different with this one, its not at all focused on rhyming scheme, more so, ideas.*

Shadows

Life
Is the constant enigma
Full of unexpected beauty
And darkness that leaves you trembling
The mountains and the valley’s
Are both necessary on this journey
Sometimes you have to lose
In order to gain.

Pain is God’s megaphone
To rouse a deaf world
This universe, this dying flame
Is not our only home
We cannot tarry here
Even if we like
Onwards to Eternity
Toward Uncreated Light
The love that burned
And formed the worlds
Is where we justly find ourselves

Wipe these tears from my eyes
Spirit of Innocent Truth
You are blameless for our misuse of freedom
Help me then to freely be better
Shine the light of love upon my path
This is but a road
We have yet to arrive at the destination
As much as I despise
The shadows
They bring appreciation of
The light

You use a lot of cliches, i.e. "life is a road," "shine the light of love on my path," "life is an enigma," "burning love," "you have to lose in order to gain". But I like the message.
