I have a 07 Suzuki C50. Any have any ideas on some new pipes that dont cost a fortune? I dont wont something thats really loud but I dont like the quitness of the stock pipes. Any ideas anyone?

I can get Stock mufflers for about 50.00 locally, so I am, going to pick up a set, and do the drill out and debaffle, WHILE they're off the bike. There is a nice video for doing it, I watched it and know how it is done, I won't have to watch it again, VERY SIMPLE...

You use one of those big wood drill/saw things you use to make holes large enough to install door locks and door knobs. When you drill the metal, it falls right off/out. Then all you have is the baffle in there. You then clamp on that with some vise-grips, move that piece up and down, side to side, around, and around, and keep going till it breaks loose, and comes out. Then you have loud exhaust...

You "can" get away with the drilling the plate off, leaving the baffle in, it just looks wierd, but I have seen some Harley pipes that look like that...

I would suggest the Vance and Hines Cruzer Pipes. Just installed them and they are awsome, just the right sound. Look around on this site or volusia riders and you should be able to hear some sound files. The price is around $300 and I got mine from Boulevard Suzuki. Talk to Bill in the parts department, great guy.

I watched the video, listened to the sound files and thought all was cool.

Finally debaffled my 05 C50, now it sounds like my 76 Mercury 150 outboard at idle...lol, Alltough much louder, it's just not quite rite.
:ooops:

Will be looking for a set of Cobra's to replace, as well as a set of OEM just in case the local "Barney Fife's" cop a tude with the noise. :police:
