New phone, SIM card help

I wanted to get a blackberry..and my cousin said that she bought hers online and just put her SIM card in it, and it worked fine. So, I decided to try the same thing. I am having problems getting the phone to read the card.. My old phone was a Nextel i760 and the one I bought is an Blackberry 7510.. Please help.
 
You will need to call customer care and order a new sim card for that phone or grab one online. make sure it is a new card or you might have problems activating it.
