New Phone...I'm getting an HTC DROID ERIS so how much should it be with 100$ rebate?

You cannot upgrade till you have completed atleast 22 months. If not you would have to purchase the phone at full retail price which i believe is like $500
 
If I'm already on a 2yr plan could I just buy the phone?...how much will it cost of I upgrade my phone that I've only had for 6 months? Do I just have to buy the phone and continue with my plan? (PLEASE HELP)
