Hello,

I am going to get a new phone but don't know what to get.

The requirements I want are that

1) must be brilliant audio quality such as Walkman 9 series

2) must have a good camera such as cybershot.

I'm thinking of the w995 but i'm open to ideas. I would get xperia but they are not Walkman as far as I know. Nokia has rubbish audio and never changed it ever since the nokia 6630. I have 6630 and new 5230 and they are both rubbish, so unless somebody knows a good nokia, I think we can rule them out. If someone knows of a Walkman xperia, or brilliant audio nontheless, feel free to suggest

thanks

I was actually also thinking W995. I know it's kinda old but it's got great audio and an 8MP camera. So unless you're looking for something more then I think w995 is a great choice

I think we're on the same wave length here but I'm trying to get info for it such as is gps offline like ovi maps or tomtom or is it online based and I believe I read the battery life is like a smart phone however I compared it to my w910i and it appears similar on se website. Do you have a w995?

I would suggest buying the Nokia X6 or C7. IMO, the sound quality is much more improved as compare to other cell phones of Nokia. However, I never seen a good audio quality than Sony Ericsson. C7 and X6 are the more promising choices.

I've had a w995a since august 2009. Phone has been 99.9% reliable with no issues or problems. Battery life has been excellent and I haven't heard a phone that I've liked since it has exceptional sound quality. I say 99.9 because my earpiece started to buzz about a month or two ago and it cost me $7 to repair with a new one. I put a new housing on it (silver...couldn't get them here in US/Canada) and I'm back in business. I'm also rocking a 16gb card for it. The platform this phone uses is high quality and solid. You won't be disappointed.

GPS with maps is only assisted with data. Otherwise, you can use the GPS for speed (and something else me thinks...) but no maps (at least I haven't been able to get maps offline)

Considering I've seen them BNIB for $250 these days, I'd say it's as good a phone as you'll find without going touch screen.

Again, you won't be disappointed, especially if you're after high quality stereo sound.

I used to have one and it's by far the only phone I have used and kept for more than a year because it was hard to find anything better to replace it with. Considering all that Mr.Conviviality said, it seems like w995 will really make a a great choice for you but of course keep your options open for other phone suggestions.
