New Pearl Next year?

This may be old but I was talking to a TMO Rep and he said that there is a new Blackberry due out next year which will have the same features as the Iphone....he does not know if TMO will be carrying them though! Anyone else heard about this?

Some how I don't think so. Unless he/she was making reference to the rumored 99xx. While speculation on this new beast is tempting, I'll wait till I read some more concrete info.

The Treo has touchpad capabilities. This is possibly a characteristic of the rumored next generation that might make it fall into an iphone-like conversation.

BGR had a possible "leaked" pic of the fabled 9XXX within the last few weeks. I imagine this is where the T-Mo rep is getting his info.

I think a touch screen would be a lot more reasonable. I'm not exactly an iPhone fan. Even with the pearl navigation I think it would rock if they had a completely flush touchscreen interface thing going on.

Yeah I think he was talking about the 9900 series....a touch screen would be kinda cool, but as I have said he is not sure that TMO will be a carrier for the model or not....

same here, my cousin just switched up from a pearl to the iphone, and man does he regret it! I mean the iphone def has a "cool" factor, but with WIFI the new BB's already have that so the only real diff is the touch screen, and if you txt and email like a beast, the touch screen (at least the iphone's touchscreen) is HORRIBLE to use. My clunky fingers are too big and i miss type ALL the time! not to mention to you can type with out actually looking at the screen, i like to be able to type with out actually having to look at the screens (mastered this technic while driving lol)

the pearl 2 8120 should be out by feb. its not on any internal tmo website but i got it from the bb rep. Correction he said a new bb will come out in feb and we already know the next one should be 8120

imo, the best touch screen is currently held by LG. their force feedback touch screen technology gives the best of both worlds.
