New PC Suite Problem with Backup

I just installed the latest version of the PC Suite and everything seemed to be working fine.

However, phone backup seems to be acting up. The screen shows that contacts, calendar, notes and messages have completed the back up but the process gets stuck at a section called Phone model specific backup at 75%.

Any one have any ideas?
 
I didn't have that problem. The backup worked without a hitch. Before proceeding, I deselected "user files from the gallery" and "user files from the memory card." Haven't tried Restore.

This is the first version of PC Suite that will run on my Vista PC. It's not bug-free by any means. It forces my computer to use low graphics, making navigation difficult. There are no USB drivers for the mass storage function.

Like previous versions, this one leaves various processes running after you exit the program. It loads itself into memory with every reboot. You can edit this out with msconfig, but once you start PC Suite again, it adds the entry back to msconfig, like a persistent virus.
 
Thanks for all the feedback, but i've tried the backup over and over again, still stops at 75%, with no error msg or anything. I have to cancel the process which results in no backup being made at all.

Anyone else?
 
After trying the thing for at least 20 times and reinstalling pc suite at least thrice, I finally managed to make the backup.

It did take 20 minutes without including anything from the memory card or anything from the phone memory, apart form the contacts, calendar, notes and messages of course.
