new outdoor pond?

well, we have an old swimming pool, with nothing wrong with it, and we're planning on draining it, rinsing it out, and filling it up agian. then we plan on putting fish in it. we might raise feeder goldfish {which i don't want to, but my dad does cuz they can make some money instead of just making us spend it} or put some nice fish in there. would this work??? what kind of fish would b ok??? what kind of stuff do i need??? thanks in advance
 
well do youl ike to swim in your pool well if you do i dont think it is a good thing to put fish because algie will gorw in the pool but if you do put pond fish ask the pet store for the fish
